I'm pretty confident if I have to live on $30 for food this week, I can do it!!!! Woohoo!!!
Ok now share your menus with me!!!! and what your grocery budget is for the week.

Sorry to hear about your 'emergency'. I pray that God will bless you in this time of transition, and guide you.
Your menu plan does sound pretty frugal. :) Have you thought about mixing in some beans/lentils to make your ground meat stretch further (such as in meatloaf and tacos)? I have some links on my blog if you need them.
Blessings,
Michele

Tonja, way to go! Sorry it has to happen like this, but you are on your way to a better life! I really like your menu.
I haven't planned my menu yet. yep a little behind. But I think yours sounds great. I hope things work out for you.
A good thing to add in the mix is spaghetti if your family likes it. You can make it for so cheap that it has to be in just about every weeks menu for us because of that. The canned sauce by Hunts traditional is yum and noodles couldn't be cheaper. You can use leftover ground beef or just a pound added will really fill the dish out. Garlic bread is a buck or two at best. It's a meal for 8-ish for less than 10 bucks and you can't beat that. :)
